What insurances do I need?+
As we hold fully comprehensive insurance cover across our fleet of caravans, there is no need for you to worry about insurance. Our insurance does not cover you or your personal belonging. If you are towing one of our caravans then you will need to produce evidence of insurance for your tow vehicle. Furthermore, we do hold a security deposit of £250 or £350 for Self Tow. This is refunded at the end of your hire period in line with our terms of trade.
Will my driver’s licence be sufficient?+
A current UK driver’s licence including categories B & E (towing requirements) will need to be produced prior to your commencement hire date. Please check this government web page for full information https://www.gov.uk/towing-with-car/driving-licence-rules-and-what-you-can-tow.
An international driver’s licence will not be accepted.
What happens if I need to cancel?+
Two things will determine how much we refund you. One, your timing and two, can we re-hire the caravan? We will do everything in our power to re-hire one of our caravans if it has been subject to a cancellation.
If we are able to re-hire then a full refund minus an administration fee of £70 will apply.
If we are unable to re-hire then a sliding scale of charges apply:
A: More than 42 days prior to your commencement date will result in a forfeit of £300.
B: Between 42 and 29 days prior to your commencement date will attract a charge of the equivalent of 60% of your total hire fees.
C: Between 28 and 0 days prior to your commencement date will attract a charge of the equivalent of 100% of your total hire fees.
It is the responsibly of the hirer to arrange holiday insurance. Please ensure any policy taken includes a potential cancellation.
Are pets allowed?+
Yes, they are a big part of the family after all. However, our caravans are immaculate and will do expect them to be returned in the same condition as we hire them. If your pet causes damage in any way we’ll take the cost of repair from your security deposit.
Will someone be there to give me instructions about how the caravan works?+
Yes. We normally spend 30 minutes explaining how everything works. However we do work to a tight schedule, so if you are unable to arrive at the predetermined mutually agreed time then our instruction booklet left within the caravan will act as your guide.
What’s included in the price?+
Our on-line booking form is easy to understand, adding up the total as you go. Follow this link to see what’s included in each caravan and what costs extra BOOK NOW. Don’t forget that you need to book and pay for you pitch site independently. If you are Self towing, then a one off fee of £65 applies.
Do you deliver and collect your caravans?+
Yes we do and it’s a complete service. We park and secure your caravan ready for you to enjoy. We like to guide you through the caravan too and hand over a set of keys. However if you are unable to be there we will need to organize alternative arrangements. We calculate this service on a per mile basis. We deliver and set up your caravan prior to 2pm on your commencement date and collect it at no later than 11am after your last night.
Can I use any type of towbar?+
Unfortunately not. You will need to have a 50mm 'extended neck' tow ball with either single or double 7-pin electric sockets or a 13-pin electric socket fitted to your tow car. You can hire from us a Towing Electrics Adapter for only £5. Our adapters mean that whichever UK fitting you have on your tow car, it can be connected to the latest style of caravan electrics as fitted to all our caravans.
What happens if I have an accident?+
You will need to call us at the first available opportunity and you the hirer will be responsible for the first £250 of any claim made. This will be deducted from the security deposit.
Do I need a number plate for the rear of the caravan?+
If you are Self Towing then yes. If you do not already own a spare number plate then you will need to order one from the many available suppliers and bring it with you. We will fit it for you and please be aware that we made need to drill fresh holes in your number plate.
We plan on traveling to Europe, is this possible with one of your caravans?+
Yes it is! We will need to extend our insurance therefore an additional cost applies. To visit Ireland adds £35 per week and the European continent add £75. Furthermore you will need to arrange (and show evidence to us of) full comprehensive breakdown and recovery insurance for both our caravan and your tow car.
What happens if I return the Caravan late?+
Due to the popularity of our caravans (especially for events and during peak season), our bookings can be back to back. Therefore we want to make the family after you enjoy their holiday as much as you did. So if you are late we charge you £50 for every hour that you are late. This fee offsets our expense for having to re-shuffle our fleet, or it subsidises the cost we incur for having to source another caravan.
What happens if I return a caravan dirty?+
We take pride in the cleanliness of our fleet. We want our guests to love our service. Therefore if a caravan is returned dirty then a professional cleaning fee of £150 applies.
I’ve ordered the GOLD hamper, will everything be fresh?+
Yes, as fresh as possible. We organise your hamper the day before your holiday starts so everything is as fresh as possible. Items such as grapes do have a shorter shelf life so these items will need to be consumed in the first 3 or 4 days.
What happens if I need to reschedule?+
We know that life can be full of surprises, so if for any reason you need to reschedule, contact us at your earliest convenience and we’ll endeavour to find the most suitable solution for you.
In the event that the caravan you have already booked is not available for the date you would like to reschedule to, we may find it necessary to offer you a larger berth unit, at an additional cost of the basic hire fee difference, plus an administration fee of £30 would be applicable.
What happens if I need to amend my booking?+
In the event your party numbers change we will do our up most to accommodate your requirements. Depending on the circumstances and changes that need to be made an administration fee of £30 may be incurred.
